Dosage
ROKOSAN is neither washed from the soil nor leaking into the soil. It supplies the soil with at least 14 percent of bound and gradually releasing nitrogen in its organic form. By adding ROKOSAN into pre-fertilized garden soil, neither soil nor plant will be harmed, even if cow house dung was applied. However, in the referred case ROKOSAN in the amount of 1 kg on 35 m2 should be applied depending of the volume of used cow house dung.
ROKOSAN Universal is recommended to be applied mainly during autumn months. The soil will not be harmed even if mixed up with ROKOSAN during spring months. However, in such case the dosage used for nursling planting should be decreased to ½ of recommended dosage specified in the instructions. This is mainly due to over-fertilizing reasons or possibility of burning up the nursling roots, if for example gardenia muck was added to the soil. Such attention should be paid during the whole ROKOSAN program. After scattering 1 kg app. to area of 20-25 m2, the product should be mixed up with the soil or mixed up with the soil of greenhouses by spading. Prepared soil is a perfect base for spring start of plants, since their nitrogen consumption is really high in such season. In summer, depending on nursling specification, we recommend applying individual ROKOSAN types during nursling planting process directly into the holes according to instruction, for example 1-2 tea spoons or app. 30g under the fruit vegetables /cucumbers, tomatoes, paprika... / just to achieve the above-mention fast start of the plant. The need of additional fertilizing becomes obvious with leaves loosing the rich green color or getting yellow or with their compression or growth cessation. Taking into account differences of soil quality, the approximate frequency of additional fertilizing can be set up to 1 or 1.5 months after nurslings planting. Similar rule may be applied during next vegetation period. The moment of growth cessation needs to be observed closely in order to prevent stoppage of nutrients supply and thus to avoid neglecting the moment of required prevention against plant diseases.
The most obvious knowledge about growth and color and richness of flowers includes application of ROKOSAN Summer Annuals for planting house and ornamental plants, shrubs and scrubs. Into the indoor pot during planting for example petunias, geraniums, daisies, begonias, China rose fusions and other perennial plants. For evergreen plants /ficus, rosemary, dracaena, yucca, palm.../ 1-2 tea spoons of ROKOSAN Universal should be added into the pot by mixing ROKOSAN with soil before planting or replanting the plant to another pot; the plant should be watered as needed. If ROKOSAN is applied on the house plants by slight mixing of the substance with soil /by fork or other tool/ watering not sooner than after 24 hours is recommended. We add additional fertilizer depending on the visual state of leaves color and plant flowering.
Application of ROKOSAN Summer Annuals and Roses is recommended for all flowering plants in the amount of app. 40-60 g on 1 m2. ROKOSAN Universal should be applied on evergreen plants in the same rate. Very often one has to deal with various pests mainly on roses. Flies and aphids are repelled by keratin smell of the soil. Its intensity and effectiveness may be also achieved by the referred ROKOSAN leachate spray.
In case of aphids and flies and leaf curl occurrence and for prevention against fungal diseases the spray may be applied; the spray is prepared by leaching two spoons of ROKOSAN in app. 10 l of water for 5 days. The leachate should be strained through since the keratin granules dos not dissolve in the water; the leachate is used for preparing the spray applied to leaves usually once a week depending on pests’ occurrence. We do not recommend applying the spray in unaired rooms or in apartments due to strong aroma.
Rhododendrons, azaleas, hortensias and other plants in need of more acidic soil should be fertilized by ROKOSAN Ro. Sulphated form of nitrogen, phosphorus and magnesium meets such requirements. Spring fertilizer can be prepared by mixing up the fertilizer with soil in the amount of 40-70 g/m2. When preparing peat additional 25-40 g of ROKOSAN may be added into each hole. ROKOSAN Coniferous Trees fully meets the needs for nutrients of the coniferous trees. For less demanding coniferous tress /juniper, pine tree, yew-tree/ the amount of 40-60 g/ m2 is recommended. For more demanding coniferous trees /fir tree, spruce fir, larch/ the amount of 60-80 g/m2 should be applied. When the plants are planted into peat, additional 30-40 g may be added into each hole.
